PCL Asia Rising Stars Grand Finals Set to Crown U19 Continental Champions in Hainan
Sixteen U19 teams from across Asia converge on Hainan's AEPA this weekend for the PCL Rising Stars Grand Finals, where every qualifying team gets a dedicated pro mentor.

The Pickleball Champions League opens its Asia Rising Stars Grand Finals at the Asia Elite Pickleball Academy in Hainan on April 4, bringing together 16 U19 teams for a two-day mixed-team championship that represents the capstone of the PCL's junior development pathway on the continent.
Thirteen of those 16 teams earned their spots through national and regional sectionals staged across Asia in late March. The remaining places go to host teams at AEPA. That compressed qualification-to-finals window has required national federations to move quickly on roster confirmation, travel logistics, and short-term preparation, a logistical challenge that reflects just how aggressively the Rising Stars programme is scaling across the region.
The standout structural feature of the Grand Finals is the pro-mentor allocation built into the Asia Final stage. Each qualified team will be assigned one PCL-affiliated professional coach for the full duration of the event. Those mentors will deliver day-to-day tactical guidance, courtside support during matches, and structured post-match debriefs, resources that most Under-19 programmes cannot access outside of national team environments. For a junior who qualified through a national sectional, stepping onto the AEPA courts with a dedicated professional in their corner represents both a competitive advantage and the kind of accelerated development exposure the programme is built around.

The Rising Stars pathway does not culminate in a prize purse. Champions instead earn placement in AEPA's training and mentoring circuits alongside international competition experience, a deliberate design choice that frames the Grand Finals as the beginning of a development arc rather than a one-time event. That structure gives the programme its defining pitch: it is a ladder, not a lottery.
Pickle Asia has positioned AEPA as the permanent physical home of the Rising Stars programme and a resource hub for future youth camps and bilateral exchanges. With 16 teams fielding balanced male and female rosters in a mixed-team format that mirrors the professional game, the April 4-5 Grand Finals will give scouts, sponsors, and national selectors their clearest look yet at Asia's emerging U19 pickleball generation.
