The Skechers First Philippine Pickleball Amateur Nationals concluded at Tela Park Pickleball Center in Las Piñas City on March 30 as an official Golden Ticket qualifier for the EPIC World Championship, meaning every division winner walked away with guaranteed entry to EPIC Singapore (April 30-May 3, 2026). EPIC carries a guaranteed amateur prize purse of at least US$50,000 and expects a field exceeding 1,000 participants.

The Philippine Pickleball Federation organized the inaugural three-day event under its new national ranking system and player registry (PPPR), making it the country's first fully sanctioned amateur nationals under that framework. Skechers came on as title sponsor, marking the first time a major footwear brand attached itself to a Philippine pickleball nationals, a concrete signal of the sport's growing commercial pull in the country.

The Golden Ticket designation does specific, measurable work: it removes the standard EPIC entry process for division winners, turning a domestic national title into an international opportunity without the barriers that have typically kept Filipino amateur players from accessing major cross-border events.
