Priyanka Mehta and Shraddha Damani Win Queens on Court Mumbai Title
Mehta and Damani swept the Queens on Court 30+ Women's Doubles title 15-7 without dropping a single match all tournament, on International Women's Day in Mumbai.

Priyanka Mehta and Shraddha Damani delivered a dominant performance at the Queens on Court Women's Day Tournament, defeating Simran Nanwani and Shefali Bhatt 15-7 in the 30+ Women's Doubles final at the Andheri Sports Complex in Mumbai on March 8. The convincing margin told the story of a pair that never looked troubled across the entire event: Mehta and Damani completed the category without dropping a single match, arriving at the final with an unblemished group-stage record that Nanwani and Bhatt, themselves also unbeaten in the group stage, could not disrupt.
The timing of the victory added resonance. The PWR 200 event, sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association and the Maharashtra Pickleball Association, was staged specifically to coincide with International Women's Day, providing a competitive platform for female athletes in a sport that has been growing steadily across India. Mehta captured that significance in her post-match comments. "Winning the 30+ women's doubles gold on Women's Day makes this achievement even more special for us," she said.
Damani used the moment to acknowledge the infrastructure behind the event, singling out Women's Chairperson Dr. Bela Kotwani and the organising bodies. "I want to thank Bela ma'am for her leadership in women's pickleball and wish a Happy Women's Day to all the wonderful ladies," Damani said. "We are grateful to the Indian Pickleball Association, the Maharashtra Pickleball Association, and Playmasters for organizing such a fantastic tournament that allowed us to showcase our talents. We truly enjoyed the experience and are thrilled to have won the gold medal."

The podium was completed by Ankita Chawla and Rakshu Panchal, who edged Amrita Jaisingh and Priyanka Modi in a close third-place contest. The Indian Pickleball Association, affiliated with the Asian Pickleball Association and the Global Pickleball Federation, continues to use events like Queens on Court to expand the sport's footprint nationally, with the PWR 200 classification ensuring results carry weight on the international ranking circuit.
