Sofia Sewing and Jack Munro Each Claim Two Titles at APP Petrolimex Cup
Domenika Turkovic upset Sofia Sewing in the women's singles final while Sewing and Jack Munro swept mixed doubles at the APP Petrolimex Cup in Ho Chi Minh City.

Jack Munro and Sofia Sewing turned the first leg of the 2026 Pickleball DJoy Petrolimex Cup into their personal showcase, each collecting two gold medals across four days of pro competition at the DJoy stadium court in Ho Chi Minh City.
The third event of the new Global Sports Pickleball Alliance saw the APP tour head to Ho Chi Minh City over the weekend, where Munro and Sewing both won two golds. The tour assembled a huge draw of US, Australia, Asia, and Vietnam-based pros, with the field including most of the 20+ players the APP recently signed to contracts. The organizers ran events slightly out of the typical order: mixed pro on Thursday, singles Friday, gender doubles Saturday, with all finals on Sunday.
The women's pro singles draw produced the most compelling tennis of the tournament, beginning with a deep run by Australian Selina Turulja. Turulja had a solid run early, taking out Nicola Schoeman and Shelby Bates before falling to top seed Sofia Sewing in the quarters. In the semis, Sewing topped Yu-Chieh Hsieh, coming back from a shocking 11-2 game one defeat to win (2),8,3, while Domenika Turkovic crushed top Aussie Roos van Reek 6,1 to set up an all-APP final. There, Turkovic upset her APP rival for the title.
The mixed doubles draw followed the chalk almost to perfection before the final delivered. Mixed partners Jack Munro and Sofia Sewing won their third straight international gold. The path to that gold required beating two strong semifinal opponents: the top seeds Munro and Sewing crushed the No. 4 seeds Ryler DeHeart and Yu-Chieh Hsieh in one semi, while Quang Duong and Vivian Glozman ousted the No. 2 seeds Megan Fudge and Richard Livornese in the other. Duong and Glozman's semifinal run made them the surprise finalists, but Munro and Sewing closed it out to seal the double-gold weekend with the last match of the pro event.
Munro is ranked No. 1 on the APP Tour and is based in Austin, Texas, competing with the APP while studying at the University of Texas. His continued dominance alongside Sewing in international mixed doubles underlines why the APP's expanded contract roster has raised the stakes on the Global Sports Alliance circuit. With the tour's first 2026 domestic event in Seattle next on the schedule, both players will arrive carrying momentum that is now three international gold medals deep in their mixed doubles partnership.
