Pickaway County Free Baby Shower Event Connects Families With Local Resources

Expectant parents and families with newborns, infants and toddlers have a free resource night coming up in Circleville. The Community Baby Shower & Toddler Fest is set for Wednesday, March 25, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pickaway County Library's main branch at 1160 N. Court St., hosted by the Pickaway County Family & Children First Council.

The event, sponsored by the Council's Early Childhood Collaborative Committee, is designed as an open house connecting Pickaway County residents to a wide range of public health services and early intervention programs. Families with children up to 3 years of age are welcome, and the evening will include games, snacks, giveaways, activities and door prizes. The door prize eligibility has one restriction: only Pickaway County residents qualify to win.

The agency participation is broad. Organizations confirmed to take part include Early Intervention, OSU Extension, OhioHealth - Berger, Early Head Start, the Board of DD, Haven House, Job & Family Services, Elizabeth's Hope Pregnancy Resource Center, Help Me Grow and CareSource, alongside the library itself and additional partners. That lineup covers a substantial slice of the county's early childhood and family support network in a single two-hour window.

The event has run in prior years at the same library location, with previous editions documented in March 2023 and September 2024, suggesting it has developed into a recurring community touchpoint for new and expectant families in the county.
