Battle Cancer brings hybrid 3|20 competition to Barcelona's Gran Via

Battle Cancer is adding another layer to Barcelona’s crowded functional-fitness calendar with a format built for athletes who want competition, not just participation. The company will stage Hybrid 3|20 at Gran Via / Fira de Barcelona on Saturday, 14 November 2026, and the draw is clear: this is an individual-or-pairs challenge that sits between a race, a workout and a fundraising event. In a city already used to charity runs, studio challenges and hybrid training sessions, that matters because it widens the lane for fitness events that reward both performance and purpose.

The structure is simple and punishing. Athletes will move through nine stations, work for three minutes of max-rep effort, take two-minute transitions, and then finish with a 20-minute max-distance run. Registration lists the scoring as a blend of reps, run meters and fundraising euros, which means the event will measure more than raw output. It will reward pacing, consistency and the ability to hold form under pressure across strength and conditioning tasks before the final run.

That design also helps explain why Hybrid 3|20 is useful to Battle Cancer’s broader model. The brand says it has hosted more than 100,000 athletes across more than 15 cities and raised more than $12 million, numbers that point to a format with reach well beyond a single event day. Its main team race remains a 90-minute challenge for teams of four, so the Barcelona 3|20 competition gives the company a different entry point, one aimed at individuals and pairs who want a shorter, sharper and more accessible test.

Barcelona is a fitting stage for that shift. The city’s charity-fitness scene is expanding, including a new 15-municipality Km contra el càncer circuit and a separate charity run scheduled for 31 May 2026 at the port. Against that backdrop, Battle Cancer’s move to Gran Via gives the event the scale and visibility of Fira de Barcelona, not a smaller gym floor, and positions it as a city-level fixture in the growing overlap between sport, wellness and fundraising.
