Pizza Hut franchisee enters administration, jobs saved in Leicestershire deal

Jobs were saved at four Leicestershire Pizza Hut restaurants after Dynamic Pizza 2 Limited entered administration, but workers had already been dealing with missed wages and sudden site closures. The rescue deal covered the Leicestershire operator’s branches, including sites in Loughborough, and kept the local restaurants open.

Administrators were appointed to Dynamic Pizza 2 Limited and four associated companies on June 26. The company ran the Pizza Hut restaurants across Leicestershire, and the deal means those branches and the jobs tied to them have been preserved instead of being pushed straight into closure.

For staff, the concern before the rescue was immediate pay. Pizza Hut takeaway workers in Leicestershire said they began raising concerns in February after some wages were not paid when a number of branches shut without warning. That left crews facing uncertainty over basic payroll even before the administration process began.

The Leicestershire case sits inside a wider wave of strain across Pizza Hut’s UK franchise network. In a separate rescue deal, 64 restaurants and more than 1,200 jobs were saved, while 68 restaurants and 11 delivery sites were still set to close with the loss of 1,210 jobs after DC London Pie Limited appointed FTI Consulting as administrators. Pizza Hut’s biggest UK restaurant franchisee was also in a rescue deal to salvage most British outlets and jobs.
