Mackintosh and C.P. Company drop first-ever capsule collection Feb. 26

Mackintosh and C.P. Company are linking up for their first-ever collaborative capsule collection, a two-piece drop reworking the Mackintosh single-breasted raincoat and C.P. Company’s Goggle Jacket, set to debut on February 26, 2026. The pairing stitches British rainwear technique to Italian technical sportswear in a tight, urban-minded edit.

Mackintosh brings more than 200 years of outerwear expertise to the partnership: the brand, founded in 1823 and known for its bonded cotton construction produced in Scotland, contributes its rubberized rainwear lineage and production know-how. Vince Hashimoto, chief executive officer of Mackintosh, framed the collaboration’s intent: “There’s a natural synergy between our brands, a duality. Both brands have deep heritage and craftsmanship behind them, but are equally forward‑looking and innovative. We’re really happy with the result. It’s a unique capsule collection that truly blends Italian technical sportswear design with the uncompromising elegance of British rainwear heritage,” he told Shopping Yahoo.

C.P. Company brings its half-century of materials experimentation and its Goggle Jacket DNA to the mix. The label, founded in 1971 as Chester Perry by Massimo Osti and renamed in 1978, is described as a godfather of urban sportswear, with decades of work in garment dyeing, coatings and fabric development. WWD captured the spirit of the exchange neatly: “Mackintosh brings over two centuries of expertise in waterproof fabrication; we bring 50 years of research into garment dyeing, coatings and fabric development. Design specifics are literal and tactile. Hypebeast notes that “the signature Mackintosh single‑breasted coat is updated with a detachable goggle hood – a hallmark of C.P. Company – creating a sleek, waterproof silhouette with a distinct urban edge.” Sources describe the garments as “crafted using a distinctive gum‑pulled cotton fabric” and alternately as produced in Scotland with “bonded rubberized cotton,” a fabric that “combines two layers of cotton with a thin rubber core.” Colorways are offered in a neutral tone described variously as beige or fawn, plus black.

Production and pricing underline the premium craft angle: both pieces are handcrafted in Scotland, and “each garment is cut and sealed by a master craftsperson using a rubber‑based solution, with seams taped and reinforced by hand,” per TheIndustry Fashion. The Mackintosh coat will retail at £1,360 and C.P. Company’s Goggle Jacket at £1,270.

Availability is selective. The capsule will be sold online on both the Mackintosh and C.P. Company websites from February 26, at Mackintosh’s flagship at 19 Conduit Street in Mayfair, London, in C.P. Company flagship stores in London, Milan, Paris, Seoul, Tokyo and Shanghai, and at select retail locations including Dover Street Market Ginza.
