Harding House Brewing expands in west Nashville with food, cocktails and dessert

Harding House Brewing is staking its next Nashville chapter on foot traffic, not just beer fans. The brewery is moving into the 410 space at L&L Market, the mixed-use destination at 3820 Charlotte Ave. in west Nashville, with a taproom built around beer, food, cocktails and dessert. The new room was set to open in August.

The leasehold is built for that kind of program. L&L Market’s listing says the space fits a restaurant, brewery, distillery or event venue, with about 3,400 square feet inside and roughly 3,200 square feet of patio. Harding House is pairing its beer with Saap Saap BBQ, the Lao-Southern barbecue concept Clinton Spruill and Amy Watson launched in 2022, plus The Jubilee Bar and Dogwood Acres Dairy. Beverage director and managing partner Akinde Olagundoye is leading the cocktail and mocktail side, which pushes the project well past a standard taproom counter.

For founder Nate Underwood, the move marks another step for a brewery that started with homebrewing in 2012 after college. Harding House says its first taproom served The Nations for five years before the 904 51st Ave. N. location closed on March 2, 2024, and the brand later opened a taproom at 2601 Nolensville Pike while continuing to distribute beer throughout Tennessee. A March 2026 report said the comeback would create about 15 local jobs.

L&L Market gives Harding House something a standalone neighborhood taproom does not: a built-in crowd that already comes for dinner, drinks and shopping. The property, which opened in 1929 as the Se-Ling Hosiery Mill, later became a Genesco factory and then Madison Mill before sitting vacant, now houses more than 25 local businesses under the ownership of Tamay Ozari. In that setting, Harding House is not simply adding taps. It is betting that west Nashville will treat beer as part of a longer stop, not the whole stop.
