Stillfire Brewing opens 25,000-square-foot Smyrna taproom with 78 taps

StillFire Brewing opened its 25,000-square-foot Smyrna taproom with 78 taps and a day-one service window running from noon to midnight. The new spot sits just minutes from The Battery Atlanta and Truist Park, putting the brewery into one of metro Atlanta’s busiest food-and-drink corridors instead of a quieter neighborhood strip.

That location choice says plenty about where StillFire thinks the money is now. The Smyrna site is built as a brewery, taproom, and hospitality venue all at once, with beer, cocktails, and wine on tap and an event-rental page built into the operation. In a suburban market that pulls traffic from game days, pre-show crowds, and weekend diners, that kind of footprint gives StillFire room to chase longer visits and bigger checks than a standard small-batch taproom usually can.

StillFire has been moving toward this opening for a while. On Sept. 18, 2023, the brewery said it was breaking ground on its second location in Smyrna and identified the site at 200 Village Green Cir SE, Smyrna, GA 30080. The groundbreaking ceremony was set for Sept. 13, 2023 at 5:30 p.m., which shows how long the company has had this expansion mapped out before the doors officially opened.

The grand opening setup leans hard into the destination model. A StillFire event page says the Smyrna taproom is packed with live music, cold beer, and special surprises, and the company’s management page names Austin Warchol and Ethan Collins as the Smyrna taproom managers. That combination of a large staff footprint, a broad drink list, and a built-in events program looks different from the tighter, more beer-forward taprooms many breweries still run in core neighborhoods.

For metro Atlanta drinkers, the move is less about another place to grab a pint and more about a brewery planting a flag in suburban entertainment territory. StillFire is not treating Smyrna like an outpost; the 25,000-square-foot build, 78 taps, and noon-to-midnight opening day make clear it is aiming for a high-volume taproom that can host regular business, private events, and game-day traffic. In a market where breweries have to work harder for every visit, StillFire’s Smyrna opening looks like a bet on scale.
