Vue Brewing Company turns former brewery site into a local favorite

Vue Brewing Company has turned 36 Triano Drive in Southington into a very specific kind of beer destination: a small-batch taproom tucked inside a corrugated steel warehouse complex that already served as the launchpad for two other local breweries. That history gives the room more than a fresh coat of paint. It places Vue inside an existing craft-beer lineage, where the address itself carries some weight with drinkers who follow brewery openings the way others track neighborhood restaurants.

Justin and Jessica Dawley started Vue in June 2025, and the brewery has moved quickly from newcomer to fixture. The business has already earned a perfect 5.0-star rating and a strong response from beer fans, a sign that its scale and its positioning are landing in central Connecticut. Jessica Dawley brings more than 25 years of operations management and customer experience to the company, while Vue leans hard into a compact, focused identity rather than a sprawling production model.

That approach shows up in the taproom itself. Vue lists its Southington location at 36 Triano Dr. Unit A, with hours on Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed Monday through Thursday, and the taproom is 21-plus only, child-free and animal-free. The brewery also says its beers are brewed to reduce gluten with a natural enzyme added during the brewing process, a detail that helps set it apart in a crowded local market.

The beer board reinforces that sense of range in a small space. As of July 12, Vue listed Burton Ale, a 5.5% anniversary release, along with Sterk milk stout at 7.8%, Daily NEIPA at 6.2%, Vista Mexican lager at 5.2%, NoCap American pilsner at 4.6%, NiteVue nitro American stout at 5.2% and Aura amber ale at 5.5%. The brewery also teased Strawberry Patch, Raspberry & Blackberry Patch, Carve West Coast IPA and Paddleboard hazy pale ale, signaling a calendar built on rotation rather than one flagship beer.

Vue is also pushing beyond the taproom. Its beers are listed at Ideal Tavern in Southington, Mikro Depot in Hamden, Puente Pub in Unionville, Burlington Spirit Shoppe, Old Towne Packy in Harwinton and Worldwide Wine & Spirits in Southington, while private events are available through direct contact with Jessica. In a town where the same industrial space has already helped start more than one brewery, Vue is making the old site work again by giving local drinkers a reason to return.
