Whistle Hop Brewing plans second location in Chimney Rock Village for 2026

Whistle Hop Brewing Company is adding a second location in Chimney Rock Village, a move that turns the Fairview brewery’s growth plans into a real foothold in one of the region’s more visitor-driven beer stops. The target opening is fall 2026, which puts the project on a clear clock rather than in the vague stage where brewery ideas often sit for months.

That matters because Whistle Hop is not operating like a tiny local-only operation anymore. The company describes itself as a “from-scratch, small-batch brewery tucked into the mountains outside Asheville,” and its home base is Fairview, North Carolina. Its own branding leans into that identity with the slogan “A Whistle Stop for Great Beer,” and the new Chimney Rock taproom now has a dedicated page on the brewery’s website.

The company is also being direct about the move on social media. In an Instagram post, Whistle Hop said it was “opening a second location in the heart of Chimney Rock.” That lines up with a December 23, 2025 Facebook post from Chimney Rock Village NC saying the village was looking forward to welcoming Whistle Hop Brewing Company to Chimney Rock Village.

A separate WNCBusiness item dated December 28, 2025 also identified the Fairview-based brewery as planning a Chimney Rock taproom in 2026. Put together, the public signals point to a brewery that is using Chimney Rock Village as more than a pin on a map. It is positioning the village as a second home.

For local beer drinkers, the practical takeaway is the concept itself. A second location usually means a brewery thinks it has enough pull, and enough tourist traffic, to support a new bar, new seating, and a new way to pour its beer beyond the original room in Fairview. The Chimney Rock page already suggests Whistle Hop wants the village location to stand on its own, not just act as a clone of the Asheville-area operation.

Between now and fall 2026, the clearest marker is whether that public-facing taproom page turns into an actual built-out space in Chimney Rock Village. Whistle Hop has already put its name on the project, the village has already welcomed it, and the brewery’s second location is now part of the local beer map before the doors even open.
