Rotary Park's off-leash dog area in Ellensburg will be closed starting at 8:00 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, and is expected to reopen by 3:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, city officials said, with both sides of the park taken offline for maintenance that includes minor fence repair, changing out surfacing, and leveling low spots.
The City of Ellensburg posted the notice to its News Feed on February 12, 2026, and shared it on social channels. The city message reads: "The Rotary Park off leash dog park will be closed February 19-20, 2026, for maintenance. The park will be closed starting at 8 a.m. on 2/19 and reopen by 3 p.m. on 2/20. Work will include some minor fence repair, changing out surfacing, and leveling out some of the low spots in the park. Both sides of the park will be closed. We appreciate your understanding."
