Blue Exorcist AS players have a narrow window left to finish business before the live service goes dark on June 22 at 20:00 PT. Sales of Kupfernickel and the Altex Pass ended on May 18 at 20:00 PT, so the in-game economy is already winding down while the final story content still waits to land.

Aniplex said the Ending Story will arrive on June 1 after maintenance, giving players one last stretch of live service content before AlternaVvelt -Blue Exorcist Another Story- shuts down. Auto-renewal for the Altex Pass has already been suspended, and existing pass benefits will remain usable until each subscription expires. For anyone still holding currency or pass time, the important move now is simple: spend what is left and clear the account before EOS, because the online game will not be around much longer.

The shutdown comes after a short run for a title that was built as more than a standard license tie-in. The official portal describes AlternaVvelt Blue Exorcist AS as a 3D action RPG set in True Cross Academy Town, with familiar and new playable characters, including Rin Okumura and Yukio Okumura. The story begins when the Protagonist is summoned to Hyakusai Pagoda and appointed Field Leader of the Special Investigations Unit, tying the game tightly to the Blue Exorcist universe rather than simply borrowing its name.

Aniplex is not ending support and walking away, though. After service ends on June 22, the game will transition into an offline version, with the download and update period available until September 30 at 07:59 PT. That build will let players freely explore True Cross Academy Town, battle demons in the field, customize the Protagonist, and revisit the main story through the Scenario Archive. It will also launch with all characters fully enhanced and one copy of each Cursed Card fully enhanced, but play data from the online service will not carry over.

That makes the shutdown feel like both an exit and a preservation play. The English version only launched on June 25, 2025 across 12 regions, including the United States, Canada, Australia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Brazil, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain. Less than a year later, Blue Exorcist AS is already moving from live service to offline archive, and the final race now is to reach June 22 with wallets empty, story cleared, and nothing important left behind.
