SuperPlanet sets May 31 launch for Nekomancer: Tower Defense
SuperPlanet’s new tower defense game mixes roguelike runs, 21 cats and undead pressure, with pre-registration already open ahead of a May 31 launch.

Nekomancer: Tower Defense is aiming at a very specific slice of the mobile strategy crowd: players who want roguelike build variety, tower defense planning, and a presentation that leans hard into cat charm instead of generic fantasy grit. SuperPlanet has set the game for Android and iOS on May 31, 2026, and pre-registration is already live, making this one of the few upcoming mobile launches with a clear date and a playable-looking pitch.
The hook starts with Nox, an apprentice Nekomancer whose forbidden tomb encounter unleashes the undead legion of Limbo. From there, the game frames its strategy loop around more than 20 tower types, battle EXP, card rewards, and a skill tree built for repeated runs. That combination is the real differentiator here: each run appears designed to push players toward different synergies rather than a single solved tower setup, which gives the game a stronger roguelike identity than the average lane-defense release.
The cat roster is where the project gets its personality. The store pages describe 21 unique cat characters, including Flame Wizard, Chonky and Undertaker, with units ranging from ranged damage dealers to spirit-themed support. On top of that, the game lists Grimoire Dungeon, Rush Dungeon and Siege Battles, while Expeditions promise rewards even when the player is away. For mobile players who like collectible progression but do not want every session to feel like a full grind, that mix should be the first thing to watch.

The storefront details sharpen the picture further. The App Store calls it a “creepy-cute occult tower defense,” marks it free and lists it as designed for iPad. Google Play shows the title as updated on April 3, 2026, identifies the developer as Olbbaemi wa Sudal Co., Ltd., and notes ads and in-app purchases. The App Store credits Owl & Otter as the developer, and Owl & Otter describes itself as an indie game studio.
SuperPlanet’s involvement adds another layer of familiarity for mobile players who track the publisher’s output. Its business page says it develops and services games globally across Asia, America and Europe, and points to earlier mobile titles including Evil Hunter Tycoon, Videogame Guardians, Lucid Adventure, Hardcore Leveling Warrior, Kitty’s Kitchen Diary and Dungeon of Gods. That background suggests Nekomancer is being lined up as part of a broader run of character-driven mobile strategy projects, but the cat-led roguelike angle gives this one a cleaner identity than most. With May 31 now locked in, the only real question is whether the gameplay lands as well as the pitch.
