NBA 2K26 Splash Festival brings Invincible Donovan Mitchell and G.O.A.T. Magic Johnson
Splash Festival puts Invincible Donovan Mitchell and G.O.A.T. Magic Johnson on the board, with 15 cards in the set and an 8-game route to Exchange rewards.

Invincible Donovan Mitchell and G.O.A.T. Magic Johnson headline Splash Festival, and the cleanest path to both runs through the 8-game challenge loop and the matching Event Exchange. NBA 2K26 Season 7 went live on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET / 4 PM BST, and 2KDB lists the Splash Festival collection as a 15-card set with promo additions logged on May 14.
If you are deciding where to spend your time first, start with the Splash Festival challenges, then funnel the event cards into the Exchange. NBA 2K Support says Exchange Events are limited-time seasonal setups where players earn exclusive event Exchange cards by completing challenges or opening packs, but those cards only work in the matching Exchange. That matters because a card sent to an Exchange is gone for good, even if you do not finish the set. In other words: do not toss anything into the wrong bin.

The payoff is the headline talent. The Splash Festival pool includes Donovan Mitchell, Magic Johnson, Wilt Chamberlain, Chris Mullin, Glen Rice, and Pascal Siakam, with top-end chase cards sitting alongside Dark Matter rewards. The exchange path also opens the door to names like Klay Thompson and Jalen Johnson, so this is not just a pack chase for collectors. It is a practical grind for players trying to upgrade real rotation spots.
The bigger Season 7 picture is even heavier. NBA 2K26 MyTEAM now includes the franchise’s first NBA-WNBA crossover, and the official MyTEAM courtside report says WNBA cards are fully integrated into MyTEAM features and modes. That changes lineup building in a way this mode has never seen before. A player pool that now mixes NBA and WNBA cards gives the season’s card economy more depth than a standard promo drop.
Season 7 also launched with the Greatness Challenges, which are the better long grind if you want raw volume. Those challenges reward more than 250 player cards, five Dark Matter collection rewards, and end with 100 OVR Dwyane Wade. Put bluntly, Splash Festival is the targeted chase for Mitchell and Magic, while Greatness is the oversized haul that can reshape a full roster.
For MyTEAM players, the smart order is obvious: clear the 8-game Splash Festival path, protect every card until you know which Exchange you are using, and then decide whether the season’s bigger prize is the headliners or the longer Greatness climb. Splash Festival is live inside a Season 7 that already has enough firepower to change how the mode gets played.
