Losanti Opens First Columbus Location Feb. 28 with House-Made Pastas
Losanti opens its first location outside Cincinnati today at 440 West Broad St. in Franklinton, a 6,000-square-foot restaurant seating up to 250 with house-made pastas and hand-cut steaks.

Losanti, the boutique Italian steakhouse from Cincinnati-based Crown Restaurant Group (CRG), opens Saturday, February 28, at 440 West Broad St. in the Gravity development in Franklinton. The Columbus location measures 6,000 square feet, seats up to 250 guests and includes a seasonal patio, making it the largest Losanti to date by footprint and capacity.
The new restaurant occupies the space most recently home to Taft’s Brewpourium, which closed in 2024 after five years in business. Local reporting documented the Franklinton buildout in the days before opening, and the site in Gravity places Losanti amid the neighborhood’s growing dining scene along West Broad Street.
Kitchen priorities at the Columbus Losanti mirror the Cincinnati original: steaks hand-cut in-house, handmade pastas, seafood dishes and steakhouse sides intended for sharing. Menu features called out by outlets and the company include a Slow Roasted Giant Meatball, a house tomato sauce drawn from recipes passed down from Sitek’s grandmother, and the butter cake dessert that has been a staple at the Cincinnati location.
Losanti’s service rollout will start with limited dinner days in March and expand in April. The restaurant will be open Wednesday through Sunday in March, offering daily happy hour from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and dinner from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., with plans to expand to seven-day service beginning in April.
The Columbus dining room includes three private dining rooms designed for intimate gatherings and larger celebrations; one private room accommodates up to 40 guests and includes a dedicated bar. The full footprint and multiple private spaces give Losanti capacity for both weekday service and larger weekend bookings in Franklinton.
The opening marks Crown Restaurant Group’s first restaurant in Columbus and Losanti’s first location outside Cincinnati. Crown is husband-and-wife owned and co-founded by Anthony Sitek and Haley Nutter‑Sitek and operates six restaurants plus a catering business in Cincinnati. The original Losanti opened in 2019 in Cincinnati’s Over-The-Rhine neighborhood.
On the decision to expand to Columbus, Anthony and Haley Sitek said, “Franklinton felt like the right place to take that step. It reminds us of where we started - a neighborhood with energy, history and room to grow. We’re excited to share our approach to hospitality and from-scratch cooking with a new community. We’re honored to welcome Columbus to our table.” Haley Nutter‑Sitek added, “At Crown Restaurant Group, we’ve always believed restaurants should feel like an extension of home, welcoming, genuine and centered around delicious food. Losanti brings that philosophy to life in a more elevated way, and opening in Columbus is an opportunity to create new memories and build lasting relationships with guests who become part of our extended family.”
Reservations, menus and private dining information are available on the restaurant’s website as Losanti begins service in Franklinton and prepares to move to daily operations in April.
