Oakland Mapleville Fire Department Hosts Pasta Fundraiser Dinner April 11
The Oakland Mapleville Fire Department is hosting an all-you-can-eat pasta dinner April 11 at its station on 46 Oakland School St.; adults pay $15, kids 5 and under eat free.

The Oakland Mapleville Fire Department will open the doors of its station at 46 Oakland School Street on Saturday, April 11, for an all-you-can-eat pasta dinner running from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The community fundraiser serves pasta, meatballs, salad, and bread, with adult tickets priced at $15 and children ages 6 through 11 at $7. Kids five and under eat free.
Tickets are available at the station itself, no advance booking required. The family pricing tiers and three-hour service window make it a practical Saturday-evening option for households of any size, and the all-you-can-eat format means nobody is watching the clock after a single plate.
The OMFD is staging the dinner to support department operations directly. Like many small and volunteer-staffed fire services, it depends on community fundraising to cover equipment costs, maintain emergency response readiness, and fund outreach programs. A pasta dinner is about as efficient a fundraising model as exists for that purpose: manageable overhead, a menu that works for virtually everyone, and a social format that draws the neighborhood inside the station rather than asking for a faceless online donation.
Fire department pasta dinners have always carried a dual function. Beyond the fundraising, they put neighbors and first responders in the same room over a shared meal, which builds the kind of familiarity that matters well beyond one Saturday evening. Attendees who want to contribute beyond the ticket price should come with extra cash; raffles and donation opportunities are common at events of this type.
The dinner runs April 11 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at 46 Oakland School Street. Tickets are on sale now at the station.
