Nikon Confirms Seminars, Hands-On Demos and Play Park at CP+ 2026
Nikon will center its CP+ 2026 booth on a "Nikon Play Park" with hands-on Z mount demos, venue-exclusive seminars and workshops, some photo walk registrations are already closed.

Nikon confirmed a central interactive area called "Nikon Play Park" for CP+ 2026 in pre-show materials circulated on February 19, 2026, offering hands-on experiences built around the Z mount system and recent bodies such as the Nikon ZR (released October 2025) and the Nikon Z5II (released April 2025). The company says the exhibition content is intended to allow visitors to "enjoy new forms of expression in photography and videography with products centered around the Z mount system."
Located in the center of the booth, the company describes the feature as a "park-like photography experience corner" where attendees will be able to "try out a variety of shooting scenes with various NIKKOR Z lenses, including the Nikon ZR (released October 2025) and the Nikon Z5II (released April 2025)." Nikon's emphasis is on touch-and-try access to multiple NIKKOR Z optics across staged shooting scenarios; the pre-show materials highlight lens variety rather than listing individual focal lengths or specific demo kits.
Nikon will also run live programming at the booth, with the pre-show brief noting "seminars by popular creators that can only be heard at the venue, as well as workshops. Registration required for participation." The company shared stage info on a Nikon CP+2026 special website, but the materials supplied do not list presenter names, session times, or room assignments. The release makes clear that some sessions require advance sign-up.
Logistics for CP+ 2026 are set: the show runs Thursday, February 26 through Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Pacifico Yokohama, organized by the Camera & Imaging Products Association (CIPA). Opening hours are 10:00-18:00 on regular days and until 17:00 on the final day; admission is free with online pre-registration. For press and VIP logistics, the pre-show note states, "Only on Thursday, February 26th, admission for press, VIP guests, and quick passes is available until 12:00."

Not all workshops remain open: the preview states, "Some workshops and photo walks require advance registration, and due to popular demand, applications are now closed." The materials do not specify capacities, waitlist procedures, or whether any paid sessions exist; registration remains a prerequisite for seminar and workshop participation.
The pre-show packet also included corporate background: Nikon's address is 1-5-20, Nishioi, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo 140-8601, phone +81-3-3773-1111, Representative Director Chairman Toshikazu Umatate, and a date of establishment of July 25, 1917. The company notes it "maintains a global presence with approximately 100 offices around the world," and reports "Revenue (for the year ended March 31, 2025) 715.2 ¥ billion" alongside the excerpted segment and regional ratios as presented in the materials. Nikon's corporate statement in the packet reads in part: "Nikon will provide innovative technology solutions that anticipate and meet our global customer needs and contribute to a better sustainable world where humans and machines co-create seamlessly to solve societal challenges."
Expect the "Nikon Play Park" and venue-exclusive seminars to be the focal point of Nikon's CP+ 2026 presence when the show opens February 26 at Pacifico Yokohama; with some workshops already closed to new applications, on-site demo access and pre-registered seminar slots will likely determine how much hands-on time attendees get with ZR, Z5II and the NIKKOR Z lens lineup.
