532 Yoga Celebrates Grand Opening and 14th Anniversary in Old Town North
Suzanne Leitner-Wise's 532 Yoga marks 14 years with a free April 11 grand opening at 500 Montgomery, blending live violin, artist talks, and yoga in Old Town North.

Suzanne Leitner-Wise will mark fourteen years of community yoga on Saturday, April 11, when 532 Yoga, Arts & Culture throws open the doors of its permanent new home at 500 Montgomery Street in Old Town North. The celebration runs from 5:00 to 7:30 PM and is free to attend.
The event formalizes a move that was months in the making. After closing its longtime Washington Street location, 532 Yoga operated out of a pop-up space before welcoming students to 500 Montgomery last fall. Saturday's open house puts an official stamp on that transition, framing the new address not as a simple relocation but as a fresh chapter for a studio that has made cultural programming central to its identity from the start.
That identity is what sets 532 Yoga apart from a straightforward fitness studio. Alongside regular yoga classes spanning hatha, vinyasa, and restorative practice, the studio hosts workshops and arts events, treating movement and creative practice as complementary pursuits rather than separate offerings. The April 11 program reflects that philosophy directly: the evening will feature live violin music, artist presentations by Xenia Gray and Cari Babitzke, and light refreshments, making the grand opening feel closer to an arts district launch than a typical studio ribbon-cutting.
Old Town North, still establishing itself as a cultural corridor, gains a multi-use anchor in 532 Yoga's presence at 500 Montgomery. For anyone who has never stepped on a yoga mat, the free open house removes the usual financial barrier to exploring the studio's programming. No trial fee, no commitment required on April 11.
If you go: 532 Yoga, Arts & Culture is located at 500 Montgomery Street in Old Town North, Alexandria. The grand opening and 14th anniversary celebration takes place Saturday, April 11 from 5:00 to 7:30 PM. Admission is free.
