Mimi Ghandour built a devoted following in Wynwood and Coconut Grove. Now she's bringing Mimi Yoga & Pilates to Aventura with the most ambitious studio the multi-award-winning brand has produced yet.

The brand announced it is opening its largest and most luxurious location in Aventura this April, at 17071 W. Dixie Hwy. It follows Mimi's original Wynwood location, a 2024 Best of Miami winner that opened in 2022, and a Coconut Grove outpost that debuted in 2024. The Aventura space is described as the brand's largest and most refined to date, and Ghandour isn't shy about what it means to her. "The success of our community has blown me away, and Aventura is the culmination of every lesson I've learned building the first two studios, and it is the most beautiful space we have ever created," she said. "From the moment you step inside, the feeling is unmistakably Mimi Yoga."

The design stays true to the signature Mimi Yoga palette: blue ombre walls, polished teal concrete floors, and illuminated arched mirrors, all wrapped in the brand's signature rose scent. The iconic "Just Show Up" sign makes the move north too. The studio will offer several different yoga classes and Pilates in infrared rooms heated between 90 and 98 degrees. Modalities include Power, Vinyasa, Pilates Sculpt, Hip Hop Flow, Yogilates, Restorative, and more. Each class closes with a complimentary cold, rose essential oil-infused towel placed gently on students' foreheads during savasana, a ritual carried across every Mimi Yoga location.

While Mimi Yoga & Pilates might look Instagram-ready, its widely publicized no-filming policy will carry over to its new Aventura studio. The policy was covered in national press when Mimi announced it last fall. Ghandour has been direct about the reasoning: "Class is your dedicated time to turn inward and focus on yourself. We also have a deep responsibility to protect the privacy of every person in that room." Those who violate the policy will be asked to leave class without a refund, but students can still get content in before and after class, or during the studio's special events, workshops, and yoga and Pilates trainings.

Those trainings are a significant part of the Aventura story. The new location will serve as a hub for future Yoga and Mat Pilates Trainings, adding institutional weight to an already substantial track record: Mimi Yoga has graduated more than 550 yoga teachers through its 200-Hour Yoga Alliance-accredited certification program and certified 250 Mat Pilates instructors. Memberships and class packages are booked through Mindbody.

The Aventura opening is part of a broader wave of wellness expansion across Miami, with the exact opening date yet to be announced but clients expected sometime in April. It joins recent arrivals including Brickell's Quantum Temple, Little River's Wild Thing studio following its Alo Yoga collaboration, and Tracy Anderson's Coral Gables studio. For South Florida's infrared yoga community, Mimi Yoga's third location represents the clearest signal yet that Ghandour's "just show up" philosophy has outgrown its Wynwood roots.
