Oxygen Yoga & Fitness is bringing its far infrared heated studio format to Bellevue, Washington, with a grand opening set for April 6 and a Karma Week offering free classes to anyone who wants to try the space before committing.

The Canadian-born brand, which has been expanding since 2011 under CEO Jen Hamilton and is described as woman-owned, operates locations across Canada and the United States. The Bellevue studio at 12121 Northup Way marks the first U.S. location for the local ownership team behind it.

Co-owner Lisa comes with an unusual background for a fitness studio operator: more than 20 years of healthcare leadership experience, a paramedic license, and advanced education in epidemiology and biostatistics. She previously owned an Oxygen Yoga & Fitness location in Kamloops and was part of the Okanagan master franchise in Canada. Co-owner Skye's path into the brand runs through personal necessity rather than professional background. After a car accident, she used the gym for rehabilitation, and that experience gradually evolved into a long-term focus on movement and health, eventually leading her to Oxygen Yoga & Fitness through personal use and community connections.

The studio's format centers on far infrared heat rather than the steam-based humidity of traditional hot yoga. The Bellevue location is marketing more than 16 class formats, including Hot Power Flow, Hot Candlelight Deep Stretch and Relaxation, Hot Barre Fusion, HIIT, Sculpt, and Deep Stretch+. The Hot Power Flow class is described on the studio's site as emphasizing fluid transitions, with arm balances and binds introduced progressively. The Hot Candlelight class moves through seated stretches in its first half before shifting to yin postures held to target connective tissue in the second.

The presale window closes at opening. A founding membership rate of $49 bi-weekly for unlimited classes, with no commitment required, is available through April 6. The studio's own marketing puts the savings at over $600 annually compared to standard pricing, which is expected to rise to $69 bi-weekly after the doors open. Free Karma Week classes begin April 6, and the studio is urging people to reserve spots before they fill.
