Pandora's answer to Donald Trump's tariffs arrived in a 10,600-square-foot warehouse in Mississauga, Ontario. The world's largest jewellery brand opened its first Canadian online distribution centre on March 31, routing domestic e-commerce orders away from U.S. customs and cutting delivery times for Canadian customers by up to 50 percent.

Until the Mississauga hub came online, all of Pandora's Canadian online orders were fulfilled from distribution centres in the United States, meaning every piece had to clear U.S. customs before continuing north. With Pandora manufacturing its entire jewellery range at two factories in Thailand, those cross-border shipments had become directly exposed to the Trump administration's escalating tariffs on Thai-made goods. The company had already disclosed that U.S. tariffs were expected to shave 1.5 percentage points off its 2026 operating margin; the Mississauga facility represents one of its first concrete operational moves to limit the damage.

"The new distribution centre is an important step forward for Pandora in Canada," said Tania Brosseau, Vice President of Canada. "It means faster deliveries, more reliable service and a better overall experience for our Canadian customers. The new centre also reflects how we continually optimise our global distribution network to support long-term growth and strengthen our global supply chain."

The numbers behind the facility are substantial. Operated by GXO Logistics, Inc., the centre can process up to 12,500 online orders per day. Transit times drop from 5 to 7 business days under the old U.S.-routed model to 2 to 4 days, with returns processing simplified as well. The facility is also the first worldwide to deploy Pandora's new scalable logistics architecture, which replaces older, market-specific systems and is designed to integrate more efficiently with any logistics partner. On the warehouse floor, a pick-to-light order system directs staff with pinpoint lights indicating exactly which items belong in each customer's order, reducing both processing time and the risk of mispicks. The street address is being kept undisclosed, a Pandora spokesperson confirmed, citing security considerations.

The investment reflects how seriously Pandora is treating Canada as a commercial priority. Canadian revenue surpassed DKK 1 billion (approximately USD $153.9 million) in 2025, more than 50 percent higher than 2019 levels, making it one of the brand's fastest-growing markets. More than 20 percent of those Canadian sales now come through online channels, the precise segment the Mississauga hub serves. Pandora operates 96 stores across Canada and employs more than 1,400 people in the country; its physical retail network continues to be supplied from the central distribution hub in Thailand.

The Canadian opening is part of a wider set of supply-chain adjustments that include direct-shipping arrangements to Latin America, moves aimed at shielding operating margins and building resilience outside the U.S. trade corridor. Globally, Pandora recorded revenue of DKK 32.5 billion (EUR 4.4 billion) in 2025 and operates around 7,000 points of sale across more than 100 countries. All of its jewellery is crafted using 100 percent recycled silver and gold.

For a brand whose entire production runs through Thailand, building logistics infrastructure closer to the customers it serves has become less of an operational luxury and more of a financial necessity.
