A devil motif can tip into costume fast, but Edina Kiss keeps hers anchored in material discipline: 18k yellow gold, 53.12 carats of lapis drops, 0.12 carat total ruby and 0.47 carat total pink sapphire. The Devil drop earrings measure 1.5 inches and weigh 8.4 grams total, a scale that reads as statement jewelry without becoming unwieldy.

The earrings sit inside Kiss’s newly launched fine jewelry collection, which the designer introduced in early April 2026 and describes as rooted in a lifelong artistic practice. The brand has framed the line as a place for “wearable works of art” with a sculptural, slightly irreverent point of view, and the Devil pair fits that brief neatly. The brand also calls the earrings “a little wicked” and “entirely exquisite,” a cheeky line that matches the design’s push-pull between polish and provocation.

Kiss will show the collection at COUTURE in Las Vegas at the end of May, with the show scheduled for May 27 through May 31, 2026 at Wynn Las Vegas. The appointment-based trade event draws active jewelry and timepiece buyers, which makes it the right stage for a line that wants to be judged up close, by hand, rather than across a display case. Kiss’s own background adds to the tension in the work: she was born in Budapest and now works from Manhattan Beach, California, a bi-coastal identity that she says blends European elegance with California ease.

For collectors, the most useful test of a subversive jewel is whether the motif feels earned. The best devilish pieces, whether vintage or contemporary, do more than shout; they balance symbol, proportion and material contrast so the joke does not overpower the craft. Kiss’s earrings lean in that direction. The lapis gives the design a deep, almost theatrical blue field, while the ruby and pink sapphire punctuate it with flashes that keep the composition alive.

The collection is already moving beyond the launch phase. Marissa Collections in Naples, Florida is carrying the line, and June Simmons Jewelry in Sarasota, Florida hosted a December trunk show before the Couture debut. Kiss has said she was bolstered by Elizabeth “Beth Anne” Bonanno and Joel Cheatwood, names that signal the commercial backing behind a collection trying to enter the market with both polish and bite. At COUTURE, the Devil earrings will be tested the old-fashioned way, as objects of adornment that have to look referential, not merely dramatic, once they are in the room.
