Howard R. LeMay, 85, Navy Veteran and Parsons Resident, Dies at Home

Howard R. LeMay, 85, of Parsons died peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 12, 2026. A United States Navy veteran, he was remembered by three children, two brothers, a sister, three grandchildren, and a special friend.

Mr. Howard proudly served his country in the United States Navy, according to his obituary. No further details about his rank, station, or years of service were included in the published notice.

Graveside services were held Saturday, March 14, at 10 a.m. at Trinity Cemetery in Decaturville, two days after his death. Parsons Mortuary Inc., located at 134 W. 2nd St. in Parsons, handled arrangements.

He is survived by his son, Reece LeMay; daughters Kelly Jones (Deron) and Kim LeMay Francis; brothers Paul LeMay (Diane) and Jo LeMay (Beth); sister Jan Scobey; and grandchildren Dylan Lancaster, Brooklyn LeMay and Brilyn LeMay. He also leaves behind a special friend, Ms. Judy Hutson.

Mr. LeMay was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Grace LeMay; his wife, Nancy Ann LeMay; and his sister, Gail Brasher.
