Voyager Journey tribute band brings two shows to Ohio Star Theater
Voyager will bring Journey hits like "Don't Stop Believin'" to Ohio Star Theater with matinee and evening shows in Sugarcreek.

Voyager will bring two performances to Ohio Star Theater in Sugarcreek on April 24, giving Holmes County another ticketed draw at one of Amish Country’s best-known entertainment stops. The Arizona-based Journey tribute act is scheduled for shows at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. at 1387 Old Rte 39 NE, a location that already functions as part of a larger destination stop rather than a stand-alone stage.
That matters in a county where live entertainment often works hand-in-hand with dining, lodging and shopping. Ohio Star Theater sits on the Dutch Valley campus, alongside Dutch Valley Restaurant and other visitor amenities, and Dutchman Hospitality promotes the venue as one that can be paired with meals and overnight stays. For visitors headed to Sugarcreek, and for those making a night of it from Berlin or elsewhere in the Amish Country tourism corridor, the booking creates another reason to stay longer and spend more locally.
Voyager’s set list is built around songs that have remained familiar across generations: “Faithfully,” “Open Arms,” “Wheel in the Sky,” “Anyway You Want It” and “Don’t Stop Believin’.” That kind of catalog helps explain why a Journey tribute fits Ohio Star Theater’s audience mix. The venue’s family-friendly model tends to favor recognizable acts, and a band centered on one of rock’s most durable playlists gives groups, couples and families an easy sell for an evening out.
Voyager bills itself as Arizona’s premier tribute to Journey and Steve Perry, and the band says it was formed in 2017. That same year also marked a reset point for Ohio Star Theater, which reopened in 2017 and has continued to market concerts and stage productions as part of its regular schedule. In Holmes County, where tourism and event traffic are closely tied to business for restaurants, hotels and retailers, bookings like this help keep the calendar active between larger travel periods.
The April 24 listing appears on the Amish Country events calendar, reinforcing the theater’s role as one of the region’s premiere destinations for live entertainment. With two showtimes, a familiar set list and a venue built around the full visitor experience, Voyager is positioned to bring both nostalgia and steady foot traffic to Sugarcreek.
