Key West Artisan Market to Highlight Habitat for Humanity Efforts
The Key West Artisan Market will return Sunday, January 11, at Indigenous Park at Higgs Beach from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., spotlighting Habitat for Humanity of Key West and the Lower Florida Keys. The free, open-air event pairs local arts, food and small businesses with volunteer and fundraising opportunities that support affordable housing and neighborhood stability across the Keys.

The Key West Artisan Market will open the new year with a "Building Hope" edition on Sunday, January 11, inviting Monroe County residents and visitors to shop local while learning how community involvement supports affordable housing. The market runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Indigenous Park at Higgs Beach and will feature Habitat for Humanity of Key West and the Lower Florida Keys as the event’s community partner.
Organizers describe an open-air showcase of fine crafts and art by Florida Keys makers alongside elevated food and libations and sweeping ocean views. Attendees can expect handcrafted jewelry, original paintings and papercuts, ceramics, turned wood, bespoke home décor and textiles. Local authors will be signing books, and food offerings will include artisan breads and cheeses, seasonal produce, local seafood, premium butcher selections, slow-smoked barbecue, indulgent desserts and international flavors from the Mediterranean, France, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia and the Caribbean.
Great Events Catering will operate a full-service bar with handcrafted Bloody Marys and mimosas, and other beverages will include fresh-brewed coffee, nitrogen-infused teas, pressed fruit juices, artisanal ice cream and tropically flavored boozy popsicles. The market’s open-air format provides broad outdoor space for browsing and socializing against the backdrop of Higgs Beach.
Habitat for Humanity representatives will be onsite to share information about local builds and volunteer opportunities and will offer visitors chances to enter two raffles. The organization’s work to build safe, affordable housing and strengthen neighborhoods has direct community implications: stable housing supports family stability, economic resilience and better health outcomes, and local fundraising and volunteer efforts help keep those projects rooted in Monroe County.
Admission and parking are free, making the market accessible to residents across the county. For prospective vendors and artisans, the Chamber’s event listing provides contact details and application links. By directing dollars and time toward neighborhood projects and to local businesses, the market aims to bolster a more connected, equitable community in the Keys while showcasing the region’s creative and culinary talent.
