Washington Woman Arrested After Fleeing Deputies in the Lower Keys
Kayleen Katherine Kay Farman, 44, of Spokane led deputies on a late-night chase up U.S. 1 before spike strips ended the pursuit at Marathon's 107th Street.

A stolen Infiniti sedan, a high-speed run up U.S. 1, and a set of spike strips brought a late-night pursuit to an end in Marathon last Saturday, leaving a Spokane, Washington woman facing five criminal charges and additional counts from Key West Police.
Just before 10 p.m. on March 14, the Key West Police Department alerted Monroe County Sheriff's Office that a stolen Infiniti sedan was heading northbound out of Key West on U.S. 1. Deputies located the vehicle and attempted a traffic stop near Mile Marker 47. The driver refused to pull over and continued fleeing northbound.
Sheriff's Office deputies deployed spike strips, puncturing the sedan's tires. The vehicle finally came to a stop near U.S. 1 and 107th Street in Marathon. The driver was identified as Kayleen Katherine Kay Farman, 44, of Spokane, Washington. She was taken into custody and transported to jail.

Farman faces charges of fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and driving without a valid license. Beyond those counts, the Key West Police Department has filed additional criminal charges against her related to the initial vehicle theft.
No injuries were reported in connection with the pursuit. Bail information, court dates, and the specific statutory counts filed by Key West Police had not been made public as of Monday.
