Norman Lain Sr., 87, Dies at Oakwood; Funeral Friday at Zoercher-Gillick
Norman Lain Sr., 87, died Feb. 18 at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City; funeral 10 a.m. Friday at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Norman Lain Sr., 87, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2026, at Oakwood Health Campus in Tell City. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Friday, Feb. 20, 2026, at Zoercher-Gillick Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation at Zoercher-Gillick is set for Thursday, Feb. 19, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and again Friday beginning at 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. The funeral home posting lists those visitation hours and confirms the Friday service time and the cemetery burial that will follow.
Lain was born Feb. 28, 1938, in Hawesville, Kentucky, to the late Gus and Della (Lewis) Lain. He was 10 days shy of his 88th birthday at the time of his death. Legacy obituary listings identify him as survived by his wife, Darel Lain; his children, Norman (Diana) Lain, Jr. of Cannelton, Robyn Bryant of Tell City, and Brent (Karen) Lain of St. Croix; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren by name.
