Brunswick Trails Closed as Search Resumes for Missing Woman Rebecca Dorr
Brunswick trails closed as the Maine Warden Service resumed an expanded search for Rebecca Dorr, 56, missing since Jan. 25.

Brunswick's town hiking trails closed over the weekend as the Maine Warden Service led an expanded search for Rebecca Dorr, a 56-year-old Brunswick resident who has been missing since late January, authorities said.
Dorr was last seen on foot leaving her home on Maine Street sometime between 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 25, and Monday morning, Jan. 26. Officials believe she walked away and did not take a vehicle. Wardens said Dorr has mental health issues and is believed to be wearing a green jacket and knit hat.
The renewed effort brought together Brunswick Police Department officers, Maine Warden Service personnel, local search-and-rescue volunteers, and canine units conducting operations across multiple locations. The Brunswick Police Department warned residents through a Facebook post to expect a larger-than-normal police presence throughout town and asked the public to stay off town hiking trails while search operations were underway.

This is not the first time Dorr has gone missing. She disappeared for nearly three days last year before being found safe in August 2025. Her current disappearance has now stretched to nearly two months.
Anyone who has seen Dorr or has information about her whereabouts is asked to call the Brunswick Police Department at (207) 725-5521, Ext. 1.
