Mangia! Italian Restaurant in Cumru Township to Close March 8, 2026
Mangia! at 322 E. Wyomissing Ave. in Cumru Township will close March 8, 2026; owners Giuseppe and Anna Maria Folino say the family will continue with Café Folino and a new location.

Mangia! Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria at 322 E. Wyomissing Ave., just outside Mohnton in Cumru Township, will close on March 8, 2026, owner Giuseppe Folino announced on the restaurant’s Facebook page. The family-run spot known for brick oven pizza, house-made sauces and tableside pasta presentations is ending 16 years of service to Berks County diners.
“With a heavy, but grateful heart, I’m writing to let you know that we will be closing Mangia as of March 8, 2026 after 16 years of business,” Folino wrote on Facebook. In the same post he framed the decision as difficult and communal: “This decision was not an easy one. What started as a simple idea grew into something far more meaningful because of you. Your support, loyalty, conversations, laughter, and shared meals have meant more to me than we can properly put into words. This restaurant was never just a business - it was a community, and you were at the center of it.”
Local reporting notes that Mangia was founded in 2009 by Giuseppe and Anna Maria Folino and grew into a neighborhood fixture for made-to-order Italian specialties. WFMZ’s coverage highlights the restaurant’s brick oven pizzas and the tableside pasta service that regulars often praised.
The Folino family is not stepping away from the restaurant scene. They continue to operate Café Folino at 951 Hill Ave., Suite 3, Wyomissing, a 2.5-year-old breakfast-and-lunch spot serving specialty drinks and freshly prepared eats daily. Folino’s Facebook post and local coverage say Mangia gift certificates will be redeemable at Café Folino locations, and customers can “look forward to Mangia Night at our Café Folino Wyomissing location,” with details to be posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

WFMZ also reported the family is planning to open a second Café Folino on March 16 at 1007 Mount Laurel Road in the Temple section of Muhlenberg Township, and that the owners are “planning to open a new dining establishment about 12 miles north next month,” language that indicates further expansion in the area.
To avoid confusion, national pieces collected alongside local reporting refer to a different restaurant called Mangia Mangia that appeared on Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares in Colorado and closed around 2014; those accounts are unrelated to Mangia! in Berks County. As Mangia prepares to close its doors on March 8, 2026, the Folinos say they will shift focus to Café Folino locations and upcoming events tied to the Mangia name.
