Urban Axes opens 2026-27 WATL circuit with Baltimore Grand Slam

Urban Axes will bring The Urban Open to Baltimore from July 31 through Aug. 2, 2026, and the event is being billed as the first Grand Slam of the 2026-27 tournament circuit. That puts Urban Axes Baltimore at the center of the sport’s late-summer calendar, with a marquee stop that should draw top throwers, local fans and travelers looking for high-level competition.

Urban Axes Baltimore’s event page says the tournament will carry a Grand Slam atmosphere and that competitors will be chasing the chance to wear the iconic Clutch Jacket, a prize that marks one of the sport’s most recognizable status symbols.

The timing gives the weekend extra weight. WATL says its 2026 Season 3 is already underway from July 13 through Sept. 13, with more than 300 affiliated venues across 20 countries, so Baltimore’s Grand Slam lands in the middle of an active international slate.
