Six more athletes earn 2026 CrossFit Games invites in weekend Semifinals
Anikha Greer led a six-athlete surge into San Jose, as two Semifinals on opposite sides of the world tightened the 2026 CrossFit Games field.

Anikha Greer, Miley Wade, Kalyan Souza, Benjamin Reyes, Henrik Haapalainen and Siria Meha punched their tickets to the 2026 CrossFit Games, turning a packed Semifinals weekend into a direct reshaping of the field for San Jose.
The clearest headline belongs to Greer, a recognizable name after finishing ninth at the 2025 CrossFit Games and fourth in last year’s Individual Semifinal. She and Wade claimed the women’s qualifying spots at Copa Sur in São José, Santa Catarina, Brazil, while Souza and Reyes earned the men’s berths. On the other side of the globe, Busan, South Korea, sent Haapalainen and Meha through from the Far East Throwdown, confirming that the path to the Games now runs through multiple international cutlines at once.

The team race moved too. CrossFit Aylesbury earned the first team invite from Far East Throwdown, while CrossFit Hendersonville Mayhem secured the team spot at Copa Sur. That made the weekend a true global sift: six individuals, two teams and 28 masters advanced from three in-person Semifinals, a burst of qualification that left fewer open lanes for the athletes still trying to climb into the field.
For Greer, the result reinforced her status as one of the season’s strongest returners. For Haapalainen, it added another Games trip to a résumé that already includes four prior appearances and a best finish of 14th in 2024. Meha’s return is just as notable: she won a 2025 Individual Semifinal before finishing 26th at the 2025 Games, and now gets another shot on the sport’s biggest stage.

The broader picture is what gives this weekend its weight. CrossFit says the 2026 season is the 20th CrossFit Games, with Semifinals stretching from April through June and the Games set for July 24-26 in San Jose, California. With age groups and teams also receiving live Games-qualifying opportunities, every Semifinal has become a pressure point, and every invite changes the odds for the athletes still on the bubble. Six more individual spots are now locked, and the race to fill the remaining seats just got a lot more unforgiving.
