O2 Centro Wellness opens women-only boutique club in Barcelona

O2 Centro Wellness opened a women-only boutique club in Les Corts that looks built for convenience as much as fitness. At Carrer de Gelabert, 44, the Barcelona site spans more than 1,000 square meters of newly opened premium facilities and was pitched as a female-focused club rather than a standard gym floor with a few extra perks.

The offer is broader than the usual treadmill-and-dumbbells formula. O2’s Barcelona club includes unlimited guided classes, cycling, barre, Pilates, yoga, weight training and functional training, plus personal training, body-composition bioimpedance and app-based training support. It also folds in the recovery side of the routine with a sauna, Turkish bath and ice fountain, along with changing room services that make the place feel closer to a managed wellness club than a bare-bones neighborhood gym.

That full-service mix is the real point of the model. O2 Centro Wellness describes itself as a premium Spanish chain with more than 20 years in wellness and fitness, and its wider “Well-living” philosophy pushes beyond exercise to physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. The company also says it offers more than 200 guided classes a week across its network, which helps explain why the Barcelona boutique is not being sold as a standalone room of equipment but as a complete training-and-recovery routine under one roof.

The club hours fit that pitch. O2 lists the Barcelona location as open Monday through Friday from 7:00 to 22:00 and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 to 15:00, with holidays closed. The club is also marked “Femenino” on O2’s site, making the women-only positioning explicit rather than implied, and the opening on June 15, 2026 places it squarely in a market that is still rewarding operators who can solve for privacy, comfort and coaching.

Barcelona is not short on places to work out. The public Centre Esportiu Municipal Les Corts sits at Travessera de les Corts 252-254 with gym and pool facilities, so O2 is not winning on access alone. Its edge has to come from atmosphere, specialization and the feeling that every part of the visit, from class booking to recovery, has been designed for women who want a more structured premium setting.

That same strategy is already visible in Madrid, where O2’s women-only boutique is presented as a larger space of more than 1,900 square meters. Barcelona now fits that template: a premium, women-only club that sells not just equipment, but privacy, programming and a more polished daily routine.
