Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center is supporting a free virtual chair-yoga program titled "Gentle Yoga for Every Body" on its event page. The listing states, "Virtual chair yoga class that is supported by Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center. This class is FREE and open to those in active treatment, survivors, those living with chronic disease. Family/caregivers or anyone you are sharing space with is welcome and encouraged to join. This class will be offered virtually every Tuesday. Once participants register for the class, they will receive the Zoom link!"

A separate Atrium Health events calendar lists a recurring Thursday chair-yoga series led by a named instructor. The Providers Atriumhealth entry says, "Please join certified yoga therapist Kristy Price for a virtual gentle chair yoga class held every Thursday." Those Thursday sessions are listed with concrete dates and times, including "Thursday, January 22, 2026 · 11:30 am - 12:30 pm EST," "Thursday, January 29, 2026 · 11:30 am - 12:30 pm EST," and "Thursday, February 5, 2026 · 11:30 am - 12:30 pm EST." The Providers listing also specifies class structure: "This session includes 20 minutes of guided breathwork/meditation, seated yoga poses as well as standing poses with the chair used as an aid for support." Each Providers entry is labeled "FREE · Unlimited tickets available."

Atrium Health Navicent is running related community programming that began with a September kickoff and specific class times. Navicenthealth described a launch that will "begin offering about a dozen yoga-inspired classes free to the community beginning on Sept. 6," and listed kickoff slots including "Tuesday, Sept. 6: 8:30 a.m. Yoga, 11 a.m. Chair Yoga and 6:30 p.m. Restorative Yoga" and "Wednesday, Sept. 7: 6:30 p.m. Vinyasa Yoga." Navicenthealth also quoted Dr. Sabry Gabriel of Atrium Health Navicent Primary Care: "Research suggests that in addition to improving strength, balance and flexibility, yoga can ease back and arthritis pain and reduce stress and body inflammation to improve heart health," said Dr. Sabry Gabriel. "Before starting a new exercise program, always consult with your primary care provider to make sure it’s safe."

The Atrium Health event excerpts show multiple, separate offerings across the system rather than a single unified series. The Wake Forest page explicitly notes a Tuesday cadence but the excerpt does not list an instructor or start time; the Providers Atriumhealth calendar explicitly names Kristy Price and lists Thursdays at 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EST for January and early February 2026. A Feb. 24 date cited elsewhere is not present in the Atrium Health excerpts provided and remains unconfirmed by those event listings.

Together, the Wake Forest "Gentle Yoga for Every Body" Tuesday program, the Kristy Price Thursday chair-yoga series and Navicent's community classes represent free, systemwide options that Atrium Health affiliates are offering to patients in active treatment, survivors, people living with chronic disease and their caregivers; registrants for the virtual sessions will receive the Zoom link after registering.
